Emma - Lead Software Developer

Working as the Software Team Lead for the Desktop team at RealVNC® has been an enriching experience filled with opportunities for personal and professional growth. What truly sets this job apart is the privilege of collaborating with a team of exceptionally talented and compassionate individuals. Together, we have cultivated a supportive environment where ideas flourish, and everyone's contributions are valued.

It's incredibly rewarding to witness the collective effort that goes into shaping and refining our processes. One of the most interesting aspects of my role is the ever-changing nature of our work. With new challenges arising regularly, I am constantly engaged and motivated to push the boundaries of what we can achieve. This dynamic environment not only keeps me on my toes but also instils a sense of fulfilment, knowing that I am making a tangible difference in the projects we undertake. Finally, our commitment to technical excellence ensures that the solutions we deliver are of the highest calibre, filling me with pride for the exceptional work we produce as a team.

Everyday looks different. Sometimes I can be collaborating with stakeholders to ensure we are designing the right product. Other days working with Support to debug Customer Issues. Mostly I facilitate my team to make sure they have everything they need to effectively deliver.

Ryan - Head of Renewals

I joined RealVNC® as a Renewal Sales Assistant straight out of university after studying Business and Management. Straight away it was apparent that RealVNC® was going to be a great place to work. The extremely warm and collaborative environment has certainly not diminished, several years down the line! The best thing about my job at the time was the relationships I built with customers whilst gathering an understanding of their needs and requirements. Being able to guide customers through change during this time has put me in good stead as I'm now able to guide the Renewals team through customer change management in my current capacity as Renewals Manager.

A typical day for me would include 1-to-1s and team meetings within the Renewals department as well as forecasting and time spent working on strategic projects geared towards improving Renewals processes and, ultimately, RealVNC® performance. RealVNC® has been great in providing me with the tools to be the best people manager I can be. I've been lucky enough to participate in and successfully complete the Full Sales Cycle and Managing for Impact certifications from Winning by Design, a renowned sales training and consulting firm.

For me, collectively working towards future successes is what makes working at RealVNC® so exciting. The abundance of people talent at RealVNC® means you're always surrounded by colleagues who excel in their field and every day is a chance to develop. Shaneel - Demand Generation Manager

As the Demand Generation Manager at RealVNC, my role revolves around driving initiatives that support the company's revenue and commercial growth targets. I handle a wide variety of projects simultaneously, helping to bolster multiple revenue streams and ensure our marketing efforts align with the company’s overall objectives. What excites me most about working at RealVNC is the company's focus on growth, coupled with the flexibility to work remotely, which gives me an ideal work-life balance.

I have over six years of experience in marketing, which has equipped me with the skills to thrive in fast-paced environments. My journey began with a Master’s degree in Brand and Communication Management from Copenhagen Business School, Denmark, where I developed a passion for strategic marketing and brand building. This foundation, combined with my professional experience, has prepared me to take on the challenges of leading and supporting demand generation initiatives at RealVNC.

Ben - Renewals Executive

Hi, my name is Ben and I’m a Junior Renewals Executive at RealVNC. As a Junior Renewals Executive, my day starts with a focus on customer communication. I begin by answering emails from clients regarding their subscription renewals and providing them with quotes. Given our global customer base, the morning hours are primarily dedicated to addressing inquiries from customers in Asia, Europe, and Africa. As the day progresses and the American market comes online, I shift my attention to engaging with clients across the Atlantic, ensuring that all their renewal needs are met promptly.

Throughout the day, I actively monitor upcoming renewals and reach out to customers to initiate the renewal process for their accounts. This involves a mix of communication methods—emails, phone calls, and Teams calls—allowing me to connect with clients in a way that suits their preferences. I find great satisfaction in these interactions, as they allow me to learn about how our remote access solutions are being utilized in various industries and how they help solve unique challenges for our customers.

Prior to joining RealVNC, I completed a 9-month Business Diploma course at Quest Professional. It equipped me with the essential skills that enhance my effectiveness in my role. The emphasis on communication skills and teamwork during the course has been extremely helpful in my daily responsibilities in the role to communicate to customers via email, phone call or teams meeting but also work as a team in the renewals department.
