Our approach
At RealVNC, we are committed to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles. Our ESG Working Group, comprised of representatives from all business areas, helps to ensure we align our initiatives to our four core ESG pillars: Employees, Environment, Customers, and Security.
Environment
With great power comes responsibility.
Reducing our carbon footprint is important to us. We’ve introduced a salary sacrifice Electric Vehicle (EV) scheme and a CycleScheme to promote sustainable travel among our employees. Additionally, we’ve undertaken a comprehensive project using a specialist consultancy to measure our existing scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions as well as an Energy Saving Opportunity Scheme (ESOS) assessment report to enable us to better understand our environmental impact and identify opportunities to lessen it. We will be reviewing our carbon saving programme in 2024.

To maintain an engaged and motivated workforce, we've launched periodic Employee Engagement Surveys. This feedback tool allows us to improve our employee benefits package, explore vital topics in depth, and continue to promote our robust learning and development support.
Social
Our dedication to the power of community and the imperative of giving back remains unwavering. We have fortified our commitment to social sustainability by nurturing partnerships with local institutions, including the Cambridge Computer Lab. We continue to extend work experience opportunities and are happy to support community colleges as guest speakers, which emphasizes our commitment to education and career development even more strongly.
Our supplier review policies have been updated to ensure consistent ethical and sustainable practices across our entire supply chain. We closely monitor employee well-being and engagement with regular Employee Engagement Surveys, and have included an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) as one of our benefits. Our commitment to well-being is further echoed in our support for flexible working models, including remote and hybrid options.
We take pride in our high Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) scores, which reflect our dedication to customer satisfaction. Furthermore, our enhanced ESG group represents the voice of our employees, ensuring their feedback is heard, acknowledged, and acted upon.

We’re committed to upholding high standards of corporate governance and recognise how important it is to our operations and success here are RealVNC. We regularly review our policies to ensure they promote transparency, accountability and ethical business practices across all our operations and conduct company wide mandatory training and updates on our core policies.
We also have in place a comprehensive supplier due diligence process which includes assessing their adherence with anti-bribery, anti-slavery and data security legalisation and best practices, ensuring that our supply chain aligns with our commitment to uphold and promote corporate integrity being at the heart of business practices. Alongside this we conduct full screening of our customers and suppliers to ensure we remain compliant with export and sanction control regulations.
Furthermore, to hold us accountable to our commitments around corporate governance, we undertake a third-party led annual review of our governance structures, policies and overall compliance. These audits provide independent assurance that our internal controls and risk management processes are robust and effective as well as enabling us to identify areas for continuous improvement.
