Managing IT operations across a large retail network is a complex endeavour at the best of times, and a nightmare at the worst of them. But this is not something that has to pose huge challenges, provided you use the right secure remote access solution.<\/p>

In the first article of this series<\/a>, we talked about how RealVNC Connect has made the lives of some of our retail customers much less stressful. We saw how Qtrac or Roadchef used remote access to enhance efficiency and security.<\/p>

Interflora: Keeping the Network in Bloom\u00a0<\/h2>

Before looking into some other very complex networks, let’s see how Interflora uses RealVNC Connect to improve fresh flower delivery.\u00a0<\/p>

Managing IT across a large, distributed retail network is by no means an easy task. When we’re talking hundreds of locations, making sure that POS systems, servers, as well as mobile devices are running, is crucial. And that’s why Interflora has chosen RealVNC<\/a>.<\/p>

With over 1200 florists spread across Australia, the company uses our software to provide support for each florist from its office in Melbourne. Remote IT issues can now be resolved without long phone conversations.\u00a0<\/p>

The ability to connect securely and resolve technical issues remotely is crucial. And this, especially when they plan on replacing them with newer, Linux-based, devices. This will happen over a 2\u20133-year project.\u00a0<\/p>
