Essentially, remote desktop software<\/a> allows you to connect to another machine and use it as if you were sitting in front of it.<\/p>\n

It does this by having a piece of software on the remote machine (usually called a Server<\/a>) and one on your computer – called a Viewer<\/a>. The two pieces of software will establish a connection between the two machines, ideally an encrypted<\/a> one. And from that point on, off you go!<\/p>\n

A lot of people work remotely or in a hybrid work pattern. However, mostly for security<\/a> reasons, they access resources on a remote desktop<\/a>. Or there might be a piece of expensive software, that’s only used occasionally and installed on one machine. You still need to use it, but there’s no point in having it installed.<\/p>\n

It’s even possible that the user is a digital nomad,<\/a> working from across the globe. There are many examples in which remote desktop connections are necessary.<\/p>\n

Therefore, the solution is simple.  Remote desktop software allows these users to access resources, wherever they may be. And, if you choose the right solution, using it will be easy. Not to mention that your data will be secure.<\/p>\n
