Can I connect when a computer is asleep, or powered off?

If you are sure the remote computer is connected to the Internet but you see:

VNC Server is not currently listening for Cloud connections

...when attempting to connect, then it may be that the remote computer is asleep. VNC Viewer can wake a sleeping Mac in some circumstances, but it is advisable to prevent sleep or hibernation for as long as remote access is required. Note that Wake-on-LAN (WOL) is not currently supported under any platform.

You cannot boot a remote computer that is turned off using our standard products. However, you can use VNC Viewer Plus to remotely power on and control certain Intel Core vPro computers.
