Junior Test Engineer
We’re looking for a talented junior test engineer to join our desktop software test team.
RealVNC® is a highly successful software company based in Cambridge (UK) city centre. As the original developers of VNC® remote access technology our software is used by hundreds of millions of users worldwide from the non-technical home user to IT professionals from global companies, such as Intel, IBM, NASA, Shell, DreamWorks and Philips.
Working for the VNC Connect team you’ll be involved in testing our desktop remote control software. Testing tasks vary from understanding requirements, writing test documentation, coding automated tests and machine setup and configuration.
You will work closely with developers and other test engineers, so help and guidance is never too far away.

- are either a recent computing graduate or have up to a years’ experience in a testing position
- keen to begin a career in software testing
- have a passion for technology and the ability to pick things up quickly
- are comfortable programming in Python, Java or a similar language
- are familiar with operating systems other than Windows, e.g. macOS, Linux, or other UNIX
- communicate technical ideas clearly, with excellent written and spoken English
