Can I connect when a computer is asleep, or powered off?

If you are sure the remote computer has network connectivity but a connection fails with:

VNC Server is not currently listening for Cloud connections

...then it may be that the computer is asleep. VNC Viewer can wake a sleeping Mac in some circumstances, but it is advisable to prevent sleep or hibernation while remote access is required. Note that Wake-on-LAN (WOL) is not currently-supported for any platform.

You cannot boot a computer that is turned off using our standard products. However, you can use VNC Viewer Plus to remotely power on and control certain Intel Core vPro computers.
