Renewal Sales Assistant

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented Renewal Sales Assistant to join our successful and expanding team at RealVNC.

Basic £15K (OTE £20K) + uncapped commission + benefits

RealVNC customers can be found in many industries and include leading companies such as IBM, NASA, Shell, DreamWorks, Philips, Volkswagen and Huawei.

The role

Due to our expanding product range and ever increasing global demand for VNC software we are currently seeking a Renewal Sales Assistant to join our growing sales team. Reporting to the Sales Manager this role offers superb opportunities for personal and professional development whilst working with an already successful global brand. If successful, you’ll have responsibility for the end to end execution of the renewals sale cycle, and as such will contribute to the continuing growth of our global software business.

Working within the sales team, you’ll contact our existing customers to discuss the benefits of renewing their software subscription, clarifying their requirements and overcoming any objections. Once you have gained the customer’s interest, you’ll issue quotations and ultimately close the renewal sale. You’ll mainly communicate with our customers by telephone, with some follow-up communication via email. There’s also an element of administration to support the sale within our internal license management and finance systems.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for personal and professional development while working towards realistic sales targets with an uncapped commission structure and a genuinely achievable OTE.

You

  • have outstanding interpersonal, communication and listening skills
  • have a polite, friendly and confident telephone manner, and can use this to obtain a positive outcome when speaking to customers
  • are confident speaking with clients up to Director level
  • are well organised, attentive to detail and thorough, even under pressure
  • have initiative and self-motivation
  • are computer confident with experience of using programs including Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • have excellent oral and written communication skills
  • have a passionate interest in technology
  • are educated to A level or equivalent

Anything else?

If you’ve got previous customer service/ sales experience or experience within the IT industry then that’s great. If not, then don’t worry - we think the ability to learn quickly and pick up new skills is just as useful!
