- A new VNC Server parameter determines the maximum number of concurrent connections permitted to the VNC Viewer for Java download port (which is 5800 by default). The default limit is 50.
- FIXED: The VNC Viewer for Java applet is now signed by RealVNC Limited.
Windows
- FIXED: Copy and paste between computers running VNC Viewer and VNC Server is now more robust under Windows Vista and 7.
UNIX
- FIXED: VNC Server in Virtual Mode no longer fails to start in certain HP-UX environments, for example computers with more than one network interface card.

- VNC Viewer for Java now has an OK button on the VNC Authentication dialog, so there is no need to rely on the ENTER key to connect.
- FIXED: VNC Server no longer logs an error if IPv6 is unsupported.
- FIXED: VNC Server no longer crashes if VNC Chat is enabled while a VNC Viewer user is authenticating.
Windows
- NEW: Improved Windows 7 and Server 2008 R2 support.

~/.vncdirectory are now more restrictive for enhanced security. - FIXED: Running certain applications no longer causes X Server (and thus VNC Server) to crash.

FIXED: VNC Server is patched against a local privilege escalation vulnerability in Service Mode.
More details available here. - FIXED: Windows 7 no longer reports "The operation completed successfully" when a connection fails.

- FIXED: VNC Server now interprets CTRL-J, CTRL-H, CTRL-I, and CTRL-[ correctly.
