VNC® Personal Edition 4.6

Introduction

VNC Personal Edition 4.6 enables connections to be secured using up to 256-bit AES encryption, and features significant improvements to the file transfer mechanism and to performance.

If you haven't done so already, you probably want to download the latest version and read the release notes.

If you have never used VNC Personal Edition before, start with the general VNC documentation.

The following documentation is available for VNC Personal Edition. Note that a host computer is the computer to be controlled, running VNC Server, and a client computer is a computer to connect from, running VNC Viewer.

Note that the User Guide is written for VNC Enterprise Edition, but that all the information it contains applies to VNC Personal Edition with the exception of sections on system authentication.
