VNC 1.4.3 remote problem 10054

Bill,
Yes and no... Once you use RD or FUS on a computer, it can leave that computer
in a state where the console bsessionb is not Session Zero. The VNC Free
Edition server requires that Session Zero is the console session b it will
try to ensure that that is the case but if it canbt then youbll need to
make Session Zero the console again yourself. The most reliable way to do
that is to reboot the computer.

Thank you James. But I am not trying to use them at the same time, nor to use
FUS. I only did that one time by mistake (running VNC without realizing I was
in a RD session). Are you saying that because I used it one time, VNC Free
server will never again work on that box even after restart and reinstall of
VNC? Wow.
What permanent changes could RDC make to the bconsole session?b They
canbt be reversed? What about by reloading RD?

Bill,
VNC Free Edition is not compatible with Remote Desktop nor Fast User
Switching, in general - once you've used either on a server computer you won't
in general be able to access it via VNC Free Edition, because of the way RD &
FUS affect the console "session". If you don't use RD or FUS then VNC Free
Edition server should work fine.
VNC Enterprise and Personal Edition servers have better support for systems on
which Remote Desktop & Fast User Switching are used.
