Issue with RealVNC server windows xp pro sp2

Hi.  I am trying to access a RealVNC server (Free) installed on a
windows xp pro sp2 computer.  The client is Chicken of the VNC on
Mac OS X 10.5.4

Every time i try to connect to that computer, I am always taken to the
welcome screen.  Then when I log in i lose connection.  and
then this circle continues.  Can anyone help me out?
