the ubuntu 8.10 has a vnc-like server already built-in, yay!
in the preferences menu there is a remote screen option
turn it on :-)
set whether or not ou want a password ;
the second thing you may want to check is if it automatically logs in
[probably]
so find the login control panel in the admin or preferences menu
