     Your tunnel is a VPN tunnel connected to the firewall, right?  If yes,
your PC should see the other networked devices in the same LAN as that VNC
server, no?  I mean, do a ping to your VNC server to see if you can get any
reply.  If no, then do a ping to other PC's in that same LAN and interpret
the result accordingly.
