licensekey location /etc/bin/licensekey

Hello all, I bought a vnc license for linux and want to use it.
I could use it fully well on my computer. but  i removed linux and now I
want to use vncserver to run on one of the computers of my lab.
The problem is that I want to run vnclicense but it says cant open
/etc/vnc/licensekey no such file or directory.
Obviously, I dont have root permission in lab so I cant do anything and
second thing is that using it on a public computer will be violation of
license.
So please tell me isn't there a way to install license key only to my own
account in some local file like $HOME/.licensekey
