Yes it does, provided that your proxy routes the traffic both ways. Just 
like nat routing and such: you might need to configure your proxy server 
to route the traffic.

On the other hand, I donnot expect any of the vnc implementations to 
actively use the proxy, you will need a proxy-agent to route trough the 
proxy server. Here I use the 'microsoft Firewall Client for ISA server' 
to route the trafiic trough our isa-proxy server.

Be noted, this is only usefull if the proxy server is also used to route 
trough a firewall, there is no speed gain or what so ever, it merely 
slows things down as it is just an additional hop on the route.
