RHEL 4 limits

Good day,

Dear all, i have done some limits setting on a RHEL box running RHEL 4
kernel 2.6.9. When i connect through ssh using putty the ulimits commands
show the correct values. But when i connect through vnc viewer i don't get
the correct values but it shows the default values. I need this as some
weblogic admins connect through vnc to start stop the servers. The limits
they require cannot be set as vnc does not enable it for these sessions. How
do i get it enabled on vnc ?
