Windows mobile and VPN

Version: VNC Viewer Enterprise Edition for Pocket PC E4.2.7ba
Device: T-Mobile MDA Vario 2 [Windows Mobile 5]

The free desktop version of RealVNC works fine between computers at work.

My employer has a VPN network. From home, I can log in to my broadband
provider, log in to the VPN and then use the desktop version of RealVNC
[free edition] and all works fine, again.

And if I have my WM5 device connected to the desktop computer at work, the
mobile version of VNC works.

However, I would like the mobile VNC to work from my 'phone when roaming
around the World. I can connect to the works VPN from the 'phone [via 3G,
HSDPA, GPRS, Wi-Fi, whatever] but it seems that as soon as I try running
VNC on the 'phone, the VPN connection is broken.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Keith
