Obtaining screenshots

Depends on what you want. If you want to grab images when you're connected,
or movies, all of the suggested solutions so far will work. If you want to
grab an image without starting a VNC viewer, then my vncsnapshot (
http://vncsnapshot.sourceforge.net) will work for you.

Unfortunately, there's no way to grab just one client window on the remote
system, however - unless you know the window's exact location and size in
advance, in which case vncsnapshot will work (it can be told to grab just a
portion of the screen).
