Password encyrption?

Hi, I would like to create a *.VNC file on demand from a database, this would include the password.  However, when i create the *.vnc file the normal way, the password displays as some sort of code (not as i entered it when logging into VNC).  What is this code?  how can i convert normal characters as i type them into this code?
