I can't get my vnc connection to work outside my LAN

I think it depends on the router. I have 3 computers on the home LAN. With
each set to a different display number, I could get to all 3, including
simultaneous access in separate windows, from outside the LAN. With the
newer Linksys (11G), I can't. So I have all three set to display #0, and
remote into the router setup to shift the port forwarding to the one I want.
Messy, and no simultaneous access, but it gets the job done.
BTW, I would think that anyone who can fix a time machine with a turkey
baster could figure this out...

Subject: I can't get my vnc connection to work outside my LAN....help?

I have two routers which I have port forwarded to 5900, 5800 and 5500 to my
personal computers IP address. I can use the VNC viewer internally on the
LAN but can't get it from the outside internet.
I'm using Windows XP Pro service pack 2
I have a Quest router (2700), then a Linksys router. I have port forwarded
both to my personal IP address on 5900, 5800 and 5500.
My personal IP address is static, my outside IP address is static.
What am I doing wrong?
