Windows service dies on vnc client logoff

   Hi,
I'm having a problem when logging off a VNC session with NT logon
authentication. Every time I log off, one of the services I have
running on the Windows machine suddenly dies, without any apparent
reason. This service is a Java application that listens for requests
on port 8001 (shows up as "java.exe" in the task manager). I have
tried to figure out if there's anything else sending or receiving data
on that port but there's nothing there.
Windows' event viewer shows nothing interesting either.

I'm not actually blaming VNC for this behaviour, but I would like
to rule out the most obvious befor diving in further.
The server runs Windows 2000 with VNC Enterprise Edition 4.2.7.
The connecting client uses VNC Viewer Enterprise Edition E4.2.6 for X

I hope someone can help me with this.
   Thanks in advance,
   Lucas Vieites
