Mouse cursor weird on Linux

Hi,

I have a very weird problem with the mouse cursor on Gentoo Linux with vnc-4.1.2. I have all the latest xorg libraries installed but my mouse cursor in the vnc window appears as following:

It doesn't show the colors of the theme.

I have another install where it works flawlessly. Both cases I am connecting from the same linux host with same vnc version on the client as well.

Does anybody know what could be the issue here?
