thank you! one check mark on the other machine was enough to get VNC
working correctly . . . or at least the way I needed it to work. I am
running Ubuntu on both machines and the control you mentioned is under
System/Preferences/Remote Desktop and then uncheck in the security section
"ask you for conformation" Again, thank you for your help.
