cannot start kdeinit

John,

Looks like you are not starting KDE when you start the VNC Server.

My VNC start up file looks like this and it works!...

>cat .vnc/xstartup gives me...

/#!/bin/sh

[ -r $HOME/.Xresources ] && xrdb $HOME/.Xresources

#xsetroot -solid blue									*<These are the*
#rxvt -geometry 80x24+10+10 -bg White -fg Black -ls -title "$VNCDESKTOP Desktop" &	*<original startup*
#xinit $HOME/.xinitkde &								*<commands*

startkde &								*#This calls up kde*/

and
/startkde /is a file in /usr/bin that calls up kde. I have also personalised my kde by editing .xinitrc (after renaming it to .xinitkde)
