Luis-

It looks like Cadence is crashing- Does this work on the console outside
of VNC?

Mike,
I get the messages below launching ie "change" commnand.
-------
Server no longer supports <clients: FORMTOOL>.
Error while reading from EL server socket: Error 0
Connection to server supporting <EDITTOOL> was closed.
Connection to server supporting <CONCEPT> was closed.
Connection to server supporting <inserv> was closed.
Connection to server supporting <ned_eval> was closed.
--------

When the severs are up the command "edit" work properly but when the
servers die becuase launching comands like "change," "attributes" and
others, "edit" doesn't work either.
But if I launch "formtool" then the servers live again and the "edit"
command works again.

Look at the messages below starting with the servers down:
-----------

and it works up to the servers die launching some of the problematic

Just a comment, I work with Concept Scald... I know that it is very old
... but it is what I have.

Thanks and regards

Luis

Luis-

Is there anything (error messages, etc.) displayed in the CIW or logs?

Regards-
Mike

Subject: VNC and Cadence Servers

Hello all,

working on VNC client running on XP against a VNC sever running on
Solaris
8, I am trying to run some Cadence tools (Concept). The GUI seems to
run
properly but launching some commands I receive meesages saying that the
Cadence servers are died.
I have checked that servers are alive but they die just launching the
commands.
Any idea?

Thanks
