Forcing 3.3 protocol under Linux

Hi Martin,
It sounds like the server software you're using isn't VNC compatible, and
can cope with the old RFB 3.3 protocol but not with the newer versions used
by the VNC 4 series.
Your best bet is probably just to install a standard VNC server.
