"read: Connection reset by peer (10054)" - Connection Dropped After 20 Seconds

Hi, I recently got SSH and VNC running on my Ubuntu box in New York... I'm
in Atlanta. The SSH works great but the VNC is having issues. Every time I
sign on, I get about 20 seconds of usage before I get the message "read:
Connection reset by peer (10054)" and then it offers to reconnect. Earlier I
was using TightVNC and I got the message: "Error while waiting for server
message" or "ReadExact: Socket error while reading". I've googled all three
terms and come up with nothing of value. Any help would truly be
appreciated!
