Newbie question

Hi all,

      If I want to change by remote computers (VNC server) screen background
to blue when
someone connects to it via a VNC client,  and then restore the normal
background when everyone
has disconnected; then any ideas ?.

This would a) speed up the screen refresh
                   b)  Make the remote window less confusing when displaying a
background image and not
                         running at full screen depth
                   c)  Flag the fact that people are remotely connected.
