vnc-server-3.3.3r2-28.2: "connection refused" or "end of stream"

Didn't see any build instructions when I looked in the top-level
directories so I just did the usual ./configure ; make. Just now I
looked at the deeper README in the "unix" subdir.

Trying to find a source tar-ball to download on xfree86.org is not easy.
Instead I'm downloading XFree86-4.2.1-13.73.3sparc.src.rpm from the
Aurora site. I should be able to install and expand it then copy what I
need into the "xc" vnc sub-tree.

I guess no matter which way I do this I'm not going to get off easy, am
