Basic configuration question.

At the risk of asking a truly simple-minded question....
I am running vnc 4.1.1 on Windows 2k
Unless I specify that the client connect via shared session, I boot
everybody.
I have tried everything I can think of to cause the viewer to always connect
with a Shared Sesssion:
- Accesing the properties via the SysTray icon and selecting "Always treat new
sessions as shared".
- Accessing the User-Mode and Service-Mode properties via the Program menu.
I have tried to find the answer in the FAQs, and but they don't seem to cover
this. Or I am just missing it.
I am sure I have some basic mis-understanding of things here, and would
appreciate if
someone could point it out. Maybe a Reg hack?
