Slow screen refresh

Hello,

We are using RealVNC (version 3.3.7) on a windows XP/2000 based network.
When I use winVNC viewer to connect to some partical PC's (not especially slow
ones), the screen refreshes very slow. I constantly have to click on "send
screen refresh" in order to see what is actually on the screen. When I move
the mouse over the screen, some parts of the window appears but not entirely.
This is really enoying.
Can anyone help me please.
