That solves the problem for now.

While reading it I realized the clients that have this problem now are both on 
Windows, so I'm looking for a similar program to use on Windows (I'm already 
installing several programs on their system and don't want to have to use 
Cygwin).  Any ideas on anything on Windows that does the same thing?
