vnc vs freeNX?

Having just tried freeNX I can say that it feels quicker, but
not by much.  I've switched back to plain VNC though (was trying VNC
over NX) as the NX version insisted on having scrollbars even when the
window was set to the same size as the remote display, and also failed
to map the keyboard properly.
