SSh-agent not dying after vnc viewer exit/logoff/logout/disconnect

Stewart,

I don't know what the original poster was actually trying to describe, but
I'm pretty sure it wasn't to do with ssh client not exiting - it sounded
like some problem with the computer that runs his VNC server.
