Unable to Add Client

I'm having an issue adding a client to the Server Connection.  For example,
when I type 192.168.1.xx/255.255.255.0  it adds it to the list as
192.168.1.0/255.255.255.0
This happen no matter what I type i for xx.  Help
please.  This is occurring on a WinXP SP2 Home edition.  Thanks in advance for
your help.
