Is is possible to compile latest VNC server with older X say 3.3.6?

Hi,
I am trying to compile latest vnc on older freebsd but it does not 
compile. Did anyone try to do this? That version of bsd has vnc 3.3.7 
which compiles.

Any pointers where to look?
