Hmm... Do you have anything else that may be listening on those ports? You
might consider downloading ActivePorts (free) from SmartLine at
http://www.protect-me.com/freeware.html and see what, if anything, is
listening on ports 5800 and 5900.

Well Ubuntu (or another "Live" CD) will allow you to troubleshoot and make
sure it IS just a "Windows thing" that's causing the problems. You don't
have something like Norton Internet Security running as well as the Windows
XP firewall do you? *ANY* other firewall/security software will need to have
an exception put in place as well...
