Downscaling

Hi All,
  I have set vncserver geometry at 800x600. I want to down scale it at client side
  at 320x240. I am using directvnc as client as i need framebuffer based client.
  Both vncserver & direct vnc are runnig in Fedora core 2.
  Can any body help me to do the downscaling operation
