VNC Session disappears... help!

I've dealt with a few folks who've misconfigured their routers to the
point that I see the same thing. In my experience, I've seen cases
where someone will mistake (for example) a "External port" entry in the
router config for "Starting port," so they enter "5800." Then they
mistake "Internal port" for "Ending port," and enter 5900. Or some
variant thereof. Assuming that your work PC is listening on 5900, can
you verify with your IT people that they've opened up 5900 TCP to your
system and not something like what I'm describing?
