failure to connect on an intranet (10060)

I had similar strange problem.

I switched off windows firewall and found that everything worked 
fine.

Then I noted that on the machine that was giving trouble that inside 
widows firewall it did not have printer and file sharing checked.  I 
checked that and it all started to work fine.
