Windows Screensaver Interfering with Logon

Hi,

My appologies for not changing the subject from "Re: VNC-List digest, Vol 1 #1489 - 21 msgs." I thought I had, actually. :-(

So, now properly headed, here is my question:

I'm using vnc server from the Free Edition version 4.1.1 for Windows. It is running on XP.

I am connecting with vncviewer from the Free Edition version 4.1.1 for Linux. It is running on Suse 9.3

I am connecting the two over a VPN set up on my end with the Apani Contivity VPN Client.

When I move the mouse, the screen saver stops, I see the dialog telling me the desktop is locked by me for about one second.

The same thing happens if I press F8 and send ctrl-alt.delete.

The only way to stop the screen server from returning immediately is to press the right mouse button. Then I can end ctrl-alt.delete from the F8 dialog.

After authenticating myself, I can work normally until I disconnect.

Does anybody know what is causing that strange behaviour?
