Maybe a new firmware upgrade would help? Dunno... I expect that the Linksys
tech would probably have mentioned that if it were available, but it
wouldn't hurt to make sure you have verified that you're using the latest
Linksys firmware... or aftermarket firmware, if available. I know that there
are firmware updates available for some Linksys routers from 3rd-party
vendors.

I just got off the phone with Linksys tech. Even he is stumped right now.
He walked me through the Port forwarding again. What is wiered, is I can
connect to the other network using Sonic Wall VPN client software. What
else is wiered is that I can connect to the VNC using Netgear router with no
port forwarding set up. It is like Linksys is sending something in the
Packets that VNC is not excepting. Just a thought.

Then, that's not likely the problem. I recommend double-checking that you're
passing port 5900 to the machine to which you wish to connect using VNC. It
sounds like you may not have port-forwarding configured correctly on the
Linksys router.

I understand that, which is why I pointed you to the router config page. Are
you attemtping to use a wireless connection on the router? There is
anecdotal evidence that, for whatever reason, wireless routers don't seem to
pass the connection over the wireless connection, only over the wired
connection. This is, of course, a generalization, and I will gladly submit
to correction by anyone know knows better. Also, some wireless routers may
work better than others. I suggest you check with Linksys and see if there
is any way to permit VNC to connect via wireless.

I appreciate the link. Great knowledge base. But, I am not sure you
understand my setup.
I currently have the Linksys WRV54G router on my network. I am connecting
to an outside network utilizing Sonic's VPN client. The connection is
successful. When I attempt to connect to the other network with VNC I am
getting the 10060 timed out error.
I swaped my router with a netgear router and the VNC worked fine. There is
something on my router that is causing this error.

I have the below setup. I am attempting to connect to a customer's network
through a VPN connection. I can make the Sonic Global VPN connection from
my PC to their Sonic wall through my Linksys router. When I attempt to
connect with the VNC I am getting the 10060 time out error. I brought my
Netgear router from home and connected it and was able to make both the VPN
connection and VNC connection. So I know it has to do with the Linksys
Router. Please, assist.
