vnc viewer not connecting to the server...please help...

Hi,

I am using VNC sever 4.1.1. I installed the server
using the .exe. Then reported my IP address to my
friend who has VNC client/viewer. He tried to connect 
but could not succeed. What could be the problem ?

It says "Attempting to connect to host" and then
reports 10060 error message.

What can be done to resolve this issue ? please help..
