Using Real VNC with other Mac VNC client

Hello,

I am wondering how and if I can do this.  I have a Mac system, so I  
can't use Real VNC client software, so I have Chicken of the VNC as  
my client.  I want to be able to connect to a Windows XP Home Edition  
PC.  So can I install Real VNC on the PC and have Chicken of the VNC  
on the Mac?  And would I then be able to connect and control the PC?   
OR what do I need to install on the Windows machine.
