Hi Everyone,

I just downloaded the trial version of RealVNC to evaluate whether it
will meet my needs.

I installed it on a RedHat Linux machine, and it seems to come up
when I run vncserver, it creates the listeners for ports 5901 and
5801. I am also running iptables firewall, which I put rules in to
make 5801 and 5901 available as input.

When I try to connect using VNCviewer on the same machine I get
connection refused. I am also trying to connect from a Mac using
Apple Desktop Remote 2 (which supports VNC) but no luck.

I checked the other listing and they didn't seem to offer much help.

Does anybody have any ideas?

thanks in advance,

- -John
