What operating system? You can find lots of "easy to use" instructions (some
complete with screenshots) at

Subject: Step one done, VNC works, need to protect the network...
Hey all,
Special Thanks Again to Jim Aldrich for putting up with my "dain bramage"
about VNC. If Jim answers one of your questions rest assured that he will
come down to your level and do it right.
Now. VNC now works and I am at the step of either using a firewall (Already
tried Zone Alarm and it was not compatible with my Avast Scanner) or doing
the SSH Tunneling thing. From the little that I have read about SSH it
seems that it does some "hiding of the network and/or the necessary IP
adresses to gain access to the network thru VNC.
Long story short, I need some down-to-MY-level help, including How SSH works
and basically how to install it and get it to work on my computer. Once we
have it working properly on my (test) pc, I will then put it on my
customer's network.
Any help would be appreciated....
Joe
