Accent problem in windows XP since vnc viewer install

Hello,

I'm french and need to use accent in order to write in my language (ex : i 
or `).
I use Vnc free edition for several time but since I installed V4.1 on my 
computer, I can't see letters with accent in hardly all pages in HTML code. 
(I see a blank caracter instead of the letter)

It is very annoying, because it's not happening only when I use VNC, but in 
my browser too (I tried several ones) and even in the phrase displayed 
during windows XP shutdown...

I think XP reinstall should solve the problem but i would like to use this 
as last option.
I can't use XP restore tools neither, because VNC was one of the first 
applications installed on the system.

I've noticed this bug because I just saw this on another computer that was 
safe until I installed it.
I don't know how to report this bug to VNC staff.

Does anybody have a clue ?
