?Xsgi?

Mark,

If possible, you could run the SGI desktop environment inside an Xvnc
server.

Alternatively, if the Xsgi server can support dynamic module loading them
you can build the vnc.so module on the SGI machine and then follow the
instructions at http://www.realvnc.com/products/enterprise/4.1/x0.html.

As a last resort, you can run x0vncserver from within a normal X desktop,
and it will then make that desktop available remotely, by polling it
continuously for changes. This hasn't normally got great performance but
it's a simple way to get VNC access to any standard X desktop, and you can
leave it running wthout taking a performance hit when its not in use.

Cheers,

Wez @ RealVNC Ltd.
