Best way for security

The easiest way to do this would be to run some sort of encryption, i.e.
ssh, Zebedee or something like that to create a tunnel through which to use
your VNC. An alternative would be to purchase a copy of RealVNC Personal or
Enterprise and set your system to require encryption, since RealVNC Personal
and Enterprise now include encryption. I have never used Zebedee so I don't
know how well it works. I currently use SSH to create a tunnel between my
work PC and my linux box at home and it works pretty well. It's a bit
sluggish (about as bad as a 28.8 dial-up connection would be) but it works
pretty well.
Another alternative would be to set up a VPN and run VNC on that. Setting up
a VPN server on Windows 2000 or later isn't that hard. That being said, I
don't know if a "home" or "professional" version of Windows will include the
necessary options to set up a VPN server. There are other ways around that,
though, including some free VPN software. I don't have URLs to the free VPN
software or anything, but Google should help here if you choose to go that
route.

Subject: Best way for security
I need to access my business computer from another location over periods
of several days duration, during which no one will be available to
physically use my computer to start the server. It seems I need to run
VNC server the entire time, leaving the computer open to potential
unintentional access.
Is there a better, meaning safer, way to do this? Is there a way to
reverse the process and run the server on the remote computer, the
viewer on my office computer, but reverse the control so I can see the
office computer not the remote? Even if this is possible, which I doubt,
is this any more secure? Any suggestions are appreciated.
